GUITAR 10          (elective)  4 credits

 

This course is intended to allow students to further their understanding of guitar and song composition and to develop discipline, skills and confidence through experiences and sustained practice. The course will also allow students to develop independence, self-motivation, and positive self-image with experiences through the creation, exploration and expression of music (guitar). The focus on instruction is on basic cords and strumming, song reproduction, song composition, analysis and recording. One some occasions we will implement bass guitar, keyboard, vocals and percussion to support ensemble performance skills.

 

 

GUITAR 11 AND 12           (elective)  4 credits         

 

Students taking this course will be working with other students in grades 10-12 furthering their development of knowledge-based experience on the guitar.
