STUDENTS ATTENDED THE
26TH ANNUAL PROJECT AGRICULTURE
Four students attended the 26th Annual Project Agriculture held in Vanderhoof and area on September 26th, 27th and 28th. On the first day, the students visited the Nechako Valley Veterinary clinic, visited Little Valley Farms to experience cattle handling, roping, horse penning, branding and ID tagging before taking part in a mock auction at the Vanderhoof Auction Mart. The next two days they attended a safety presentation and went through the twelve stations on: ATV safety, drone, hay truck, dairy and artificial insemination, cattle handling, tractor, skid steer/mini excavator and stream stewardship at DMS farm, located northeast of Vanderhoof. On the last afternoon, students attended a presentation by a nutritionist during the lunch break.
Thank you to everyone involved for another successful project as well as Mrs. Dubé, and Mr. Mills for chaperoning during this project.
